Senior Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment

Job Responsibilities:

• Full knowledge of Aramco Standards and projects experience. Proven experience in Saudi Aramco projects in different project phases (DBSP / FEL-3 PP and DD) for all rotating equipments and packages.
• Experience in mechanical design of rotating equipment and its associated auxiliary system in compliance with international codes such as API, ASME, Hydraulic Institute, ASME PTC, NFPA, etc.
• Proficient in pumps online selection tools and preliminary selection of pumps
• Preparing data sheets, technical specifications, and engineering deliverables for rotating equipment such as API and non-API Pumps, Multi-phase Pumps, Fire water Pumps, Sealless pumps, process Compressors, Instrument Air Compressors, Blowers, Fans, Mixers, Turbines, Gear boxes, Lube oil system, Mechanical Seal system, Dry gas seal system, air dryer packages, etc.
• Preparing technical specifications and data sheets for packages such as Nitrogen generation package, Chemical injection skids, Burn Pits and Flare package, Chiller packages, Air dryer package, Incinerators, Truck Loading System, Oily water treatment package, Water treatment package, Chlorination package, Cranes, Hoists, Foam Skids etc.
• Preparation of scope of work on the revamp/re-rate study on pumps, compressor, and packages.
• Experience in reviewing process department deliverables including PIDs, PFDs, M&HB, process design basis, and process data sheets.
• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines, project management and Client teams with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Responsible to provide information to other discipline such as loading data, construction bill of quantity, electric load list, and field work instruction. All related work and input to other disciplines.
• Experience in vendor document and design reviews for rotating equipment and packages. Review of Suppliers documentation for integration within Project design, such as GA / Details / Calculations / Fabrication Procedures
• Perform Technical Bid Evaluation and related technical clarifications for all rotating and package equipment. Prepare complete TBE report with conclusion, recommendation by interacting with suppliers, clients, and inter-disciplines.
• Experience in Participates in HAZID, HAZOP, and model review studies for packages; coordinates and closes out mechanical-related issues.
• Supervise engineering work being produced by junior engineers and support Lead Engineer for all required activities and tasks.
• Conduct site visits and verify site conditions and markup drawings/perform as-built activities.
• Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper management of record.
• Participates in department meetings, project status meeting, and client meetings.
• Technical report writing and preparation of presentation.
• Subcontract scope management experience

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical Engineering background from recognized university.
• At least 12-15 years working experience in oil & gas industry and proven years of experience with Saudi Aramco Projects . (10 years for Saudi Engineers )
• Must possess thorough knowledge of rotating equipment ranging from API pumps, non-API pumps , Sealless pumps, Fire water pumps, gas compressors, Instrument Air Compressors, Blowers, Fans, Mixers, Turbines, Gear boxes, Lube oil system, Mechanical Seal system, Dry gas seal system and package equipment.
• Has a strong technical background in an engineering contracting environment with all aspects of rotating equipment engineering. The understanding of the technical requirements of the project and directing others to apply this into the project is important.
• Ability to work in teams with all levels and vendors and possess excellent interpersonal, communication/presentation and report writing skills.
• Able to define work scope and required resource.
• Able to operate pump selection tools / software and perform design selection verification and validation
