Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing HVAC systems for commercial and residential buildings.
  • Conducting heat load calculations and equipment selection for HVAC systems.
  • Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Perform HVAC load calculations and energy efficiency analysis to optimize system performance.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for HVAC system installations.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into building designs.
  • Conduct site visits to assess installation progress and provide technical support to construction teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system performance issues, including equipment malfunctions and air quality concerns.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to provide innovative solutions to clients.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines to meet deliverables and client expectations.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain documentation and records of all HVAC engineering activities for future reference and quality assurance.
  • Preparing technical drawings and specifications for HVAC projects.
  • Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure proper integration of HVAC systems.
  • Performing site visits to assess existing HVAC systems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborating with project managers to develop project schedules and budgets for HVAC projects.
  • Reviewing and approving HVAC system designs and installation plans.
  • Conducting quality control inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Professional engineering license or certification is preferred.

  • Minimum of 12-16 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.

  • Experience with AutoCAD and other design software.

  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.

  • Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC system simulation tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex HVAC system issues.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

  • Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Physical ability to conduct site visits and inspections, including climbing ladders and navigating construction sites.
