Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead and oversee the mechanical corrective maintenance and repair operations of our heavy-duty truck fleet. This role ensures workshop efficiency, high technical standards, and maximum fleet availability to support our container transport operations.
Our Fleet is Around : 120 Heavy Truck - All of them Mercedes MP Models ( MP1,2,3,4 )
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily mechanical workshop operations for corrective truck maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose truck mechanical issues, define corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor and control spare parts usage, repair quality, and cost efficiency.
- Lead and support workshop technicians, providing technical guidance and performance follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, mechanical maintenance procedures, and company policies.
- Record and track maintenance activities using the Oracle Maintenance Module.
- Prepare reports on downtime, repair analysis, and fleet readiness.
- Collaborate with operations to align repair priorities and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Recommend technical improvements, repair methods, and resource needs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- 4 6 years of experience in truck mechanical maintenance,
- Strong knowledge of corrective maintenance, diagnostics, and heavy-duty truck systems (engine, transmission, braking, suspension).
- Hands-on expertise in mechanical repairs and workshop operations.
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to manage technicians and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with Oracle maintenance systems and workshop planning.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
