Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, fostering strong vendor relationships.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure optimal agreements.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and site teams to ensure accurate specification and timely delivery of mechanical components.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical procurement within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proven track record of managing procurement processes for large-scale mechanical systems and equipment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of supplier evaluation and selection methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project environments.
