Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation, review, and coordination of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) shop drawings and technical submittals.

  • Collaborate with design, construction, and site teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within project requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct technical analysis of project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
  • Manage and monitor the progress of MEP documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project deadlines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain technical data, material submittals, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize MEP systems for cost, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical reports, logs, and documentation for project records.
  • Participate in project meetings, presenting technical solutions and addressing MEP-related queries.
  • Ensure all MEP works comply with local codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years and up to 7 years of relevant experience in MEP technical office roles.
  • Proven experience in preparing and reviewing MEP shop drawings and technical submittals.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, codes, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a hybrid work environment.
  • Experience with value engineering and cost optimization of MEP systems is a plus.
