Key Responsibilities

• Lead visual storytelling by planning, shooting, and editing professional photo and video content that highlights campus life, research, student achievements, and institutional milestones.
• Produce high-impact short-form videos and Reels for social media channels, ensuring engaging, audience-appropriate storytelling.
• Operate as a one-man production unit, managing all aspects of content creation concept, shooting, lighting, sound, and post-production.
• Collaborate with outsourced production partners and agencies to align creative direction, supervise deliverables, and maintain Zewail City s visual standards.
• Work with the marketing, admissions, and communications teams to identify story opportunities and visual priorities aligned with institutional goals.
• Support the setup and development of Zewail City s in-house studio, including recommending equipment, defining workflow standards, and building an internal visual production environment.
• Maintain an organized visual archive of photo and video assets, ensuring easy access and consistent tagging for institutional use.
• Ensure brand consistency across all visual outputs in line with Zewail City s identity and communication strategy.
• Provide coverage for major campus events, such as conferences, graduation ceremonies, and visits, occasionally during evenings or weekends.
• Stay up to date with visual and digital content trends in higher education to continuously elevate production quality and engagement.

Essential:

• Bachelor s degree in Cinematography, Media Production, Film, or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in photography and videography, preferably in higher education or creative industries.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end production as a one-person crew.
• Proficiency in DSLR/mirrorless camera systems, lighting techniques, and audio recording.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom
• Strong visual composition, framing, and color-grading expertise.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with diverse academic and administrative teams.
• Strong time and project management skills with attention to detail and brand consistency.

Desirable:

• Experience in a university or educational institution.
• Familiarity with vendor and agency coordination for outsourced productions.
• Knowledge of studio lighting and setup for interviews or content capture.
• Understanding of platform-specific video formats and optimization (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn).
