Senior Node.js Developer

SilverKey Technologies, Egypt

We're seeking an experienced Node.js developer to join our growing team and help build scalable, high-performance web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of Node.js core modules
• Proficiency in working with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of TypeScript
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Contributions to open-source projects

Basic Expectations

• You have an honest ethical behavior & attitude at all times.
• Although we are mostly working from home right now (except for cases where we need to have an internal team meeting or a meeting with a customer or customer training), you will be required to spend the first month working from the office (maybe more) until you are well integrated). At the same time, we are close to being a hybrid company.
• You have perfect internet connection, a quiet & suitable place that you can work at.
• You know that your salary will be paid in EGP.
• We have flexible working hours, plus, we have a Core Hours Policy that everybody is required to be available & online from 12 PM to 4 PM.
• We strongly expect from you that you can read and understand technical documentation written in English.

• We expect from you that you have a deep understanding for technical concepts, not just how to use them.
