Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we re in search of a Senior Officer Finance (Bank Reconciliation). In this role you will be responsible to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions by reconciling bank accounts, preparing journal vouchers, and maintaining relevant listings.
Responsibilities
- Generate bank statements of various bank accounts from online portal on daily basis and to modify the same to use for bank reconciliation purpose.
- Perform the full reconciliation process to identify the unreconciled transactions and unrecorded transactions on daily basis for all bank accounts maintained by the group.
- Distribute the list of unrecorded transactions to AP and AR team to pass the necessary entries.
- Pass the necessary adjustment entries for bank charges and foreign exchange gain/loss on monthly basis based on bank reconciliation process.
- Prepare the summary and detailed bank reconciliation report, bank account wise in excel and to distribute the same for line manager review.
- Prepare daily reports identifying discrepancies in bank accounts.
- Collect and reconcile bank and merchant statements.
- Prepare outstanding, erroneous credit and debit, and unidentified listings.
- Regular follow up with the operation team(s) for the details to close the bank reconciliation.
- Distribute the bank statements to different teams within finance as per requirement and request.
- To ensure bank statements and cash books are reconciled monthly in accordance with regulations.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the line manager and business needs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bank reconciliation or a similar role.
