Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To coordinate and oversee logistics operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective transportation of materials supporting operational requirements across Materials functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates domestic and international shipments to ensure the timely delivery of materials supporting operational and maintenance requirements.
Tracks shipment status and proactively addresses logistics issues or delays that may impact operations.
Coordinates critical shipments and assist Aircraft on Ground (AOG) team to ensure rapid material delivery and minimise operational disruption.
Ensures shipping documentation is prepared and verified in compliance with customs regulations, international shipping requirements, and company procedures.
Monitors preparation and accuracy of shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and export/import documentation.
Coordinates customs clearance activities with customs brokers and logistics providers to ensure timely and compliant clearance of shipments.
Monitors performance and SLAs of freight forwarders and logistics service providers to ensure service quality, reliability, and contractual compliance.
Coordinates with internal teams, including Purchasing, Component Management, Stores and Cargo, to ensure effective logistics support for operational requirements.
Monitors freight costs, transportation expenses, customs charges, and logistics-related expenditures to support cost-effective shipment planning.
Maintains accurate shipment records and system updates within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and maintenance systems.
Prepares shipment status reports, logistics performance updates, and operational metrics for management review.
Supports AOG recovery by coordinating urgent logistics arrangements with internal teams and logistics providers.
Ensures compliance with export control, non-proliferation, dangerous goods, and other applicable trade and logistics regulations related to the movement of aviation materials.
Supports cost control and budget monitoring activities by maintaining logistics cost data and identifying opportunities to optimise freight and transportation expenditures.
Identifies and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency, shipment visibility, and operational responsiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or related discipline.
Fluent in English
Experience in logistics operations, freight management, or supply chain coordination within an airline, MRO, or aviation-related organisation. Experience managing international shipments, customs clearance, freight forwarders, and AOG logistics.
Systems Knowledge (if applicable) Knowledge of aviation ERP or maintenance systems such as AMOS, TRAX, or equivalent, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and shipment tracking tools.
Years with qualifications: 5 - 7 years
Relevant aviation or supply chain certifications are an advantage.

ISR REQUIREMENTS

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
