Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the fire protection design for complex oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards like NFPA, API, and IEC.
  • Develop and review fire and gas detection and suppression system designs, including hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, and layout drawings for onshore and offshore facilities.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications, data sheets, and procurement packages for fire protection equipment, such as fire pumps, sprinkler systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., process, mechanical, electrical) to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly into overall facility designs.
  • Perform fire risk assessments and develop fire protection strategies to minimize the impact of potential fire incidents.
  • Manage and coordinate fire protection projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required to kickstart your career.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in fire protection design within the oil and gas industry is a must-have.
  • A strong understanding of international fire protection codes and standards (NFPA, API, IEC, etc.) is essential.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and teamwork skills are vital for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment is preferred.
