Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Pavement Specialist (Roads) - Asphalt to support the technical and construction delivery of a high-profile development program. The role is central to ensuring engineering integrity, optimum, design compliance, construction solution, and value engineering across all phases of the project lifecycle.

The Senior Pavement Specialist will lead multidisciplinary coordination, manage interfaces between various technical packages, and ensure alignment with project standards, authority requirements, and stakeholder expectations. This includes overseeing the work of design consultants and supporting construction integration to ensure all technical risks are identified and resolved proactively.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Act as the technical expert throughout design, procurement, and delivery phases.
  • Provide oversight of all technical disciplines including soil geotechnical, roads construction aspects for different pavement types (asphalt and concrete types).
  • Ensure engineering solutions are technically sound, constructible, and compliant with applicable regulations and authority approvals.
  • Completes a variety of assignments such as reviewing the design submissions include drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
  • Review and coordinate construction documents (drawings, specifications, BOQ, and technical reports).
  • Interface with design consultants, PMCM consultants, contractors, and internal teams to manage the resolution of technical issues and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Lead technical design reviews and value engineering workshops to improve cost efficiency and technical performance.
  • Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of technical requirements on-site.
  • Ensure that technical risks are clearly identified, tracked, and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor adherence to client requirements, project goals, and quality benchmarks.
  • Maintain current awareness of international and regional codes, standards, and technical best practices.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant technical experience
  • Fully aware with Asphalt batch planet check list items, site machinery, construction sequence of the road layers, site tests, quality control procedures during the different construction stages.
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders, contractors, and authority bodies is essential.
  • Fully aware of local and international standards and specifications for roads pavement this included but not limited to SHC, MOT, MOMRA, AASHTO, BRITSH
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical coordination and resolve
