Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform planning assignments requiring conventional expertise, often involving complexities such as conflicting requirements or challenging coordination efforts.

Gather, compile, and analyze data related to economic, social, and physical factors.

Develop recommendations based on governmental measures affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation.

Prepare, coordinate, and facilitate public involvement meetings and consensus-building workshops.

Provide oversight and technical guidance to technicians and junior planners.

Skills and Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of urban and environmental planning practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using PC software and tools commonly applied in planning assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of local statutes, environmental regulations, and rules.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required: Bachelor's degree in Urban/Environmental Planning or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

Certification from the Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is preferred, or other related certifications.
