Roles & Responsibilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide planning and scheduling support required in the execution of projects.
- Provide technical assistance as subject matter experts on Construction site activities.
- Plans and provides work direction, as required, for the preparation of planning and scheduling Control Systems to provide the team with the means to evaluate and improve the efficiency of their project execution.
- Review and monitor schedule and progress submitted by contractors during detailed design drawings, Procurement and construction.
- Identify, analyze and monitor schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor submittals and recommend corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations.
- Discuss, coordinate and resolve long term and short-term planning and scheduling Problems with concerned parties.
- Deliver timely, accurate and sensitive project controls information that facilitates a clear understanding of the performance of the project in relation to planned performance targets.
- Organize, implement and maintain scheduling management system supporting identified projects and their plans.
- Assist to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
- Ensure that corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project related activities comply.
- Interact with project team and project managers to understand scope of work and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
- Identify project critical activities using Critical Path Method (CPM) to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
- Suggest management of risks affecting project schedules and interfaces.
- Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
- Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc.
- Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
- Analyze variance in cost and schedule and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Report periodically on the status and progress of his/her activities and achievements to his/her direct manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Have 9 to 13 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring and cost control, and project risk management.
- Bachelor s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of the whole project life-cycle; design, execution, system selection, testing and commissioning, and at each stage in between.
- Ability to foster innovative solutions within the project team to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to have a good impact and influence key decisions.
- Excellent customer service mindset. Must be able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and sponsors on projects.
- Microsoft Office: Word /Excel / PowerPoint/ MS Project
- Excellent knowledge in Primavera.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and easily with end users (English/ Arabic), especially in conflict situations.
- Flexible to travel to Clients sites/Branches.
- Flexible to relocate on Sites/Branches.
TECHNICAL TRAINING CERTIFICATIONS:
To be able to ensure most or all advanced certifications in related track/field such as:
- PMP
- EVM (Earned Value Management)
- PMI-RMP (Risk Management Certification Program)

Have 9 to 13 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, monitoring and cost control, and project risk management.
