Senior Planning Officer (Materials)

1. Material Planning & Requirements

• Oversee and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and components
• Validate material availability for each production cycle to support uninterrupted operations
• Continuously optimize planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, reorder points)

2. Procurement Coordination

• Collaborate with the procurement team to align purchasing plans with production and inventory strategies
• Provide material consumption trends and forecasts to support supplier evaluation and performance monitoring
• Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials to avoid production delays

3. Inventory Management & Optimization

• Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and replenishment cycles to maintain optimal stock levels
• Implement strategies to reduce carrying costs while maintaining service levels
• Identify and mitigate risks related to shortages, overstocking, and supply disruptions
• Analyze slow-moving and obsolete inventory and develop action plans to minimize write-offs
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to repurpose, liquidate, or optimize excess inventory
• Establish controls to prevent recurrence of obsolete or dead stock

4. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and present inventory and planning performance reports (e.g., inventory days, expired and near-expiry items)
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization
• Lead or support initiatives related to supply chain optimization and digital transformation
