Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and systems within the manufacturing plant.
Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and performance assessments of machinery to identify potential issues and ensure operational reliability.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical failures, recommending and executing corrective actions.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
Supervise and mentor junior maintenance engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and training.
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and procurement of mechanical components.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance costs.
Prepare and present maintenance reports, performance metrics, and improvement proposals to management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in preventive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven expertise in mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
