RAQ Contracting is expanding its footprint in the civil contracting sector and is seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join its project team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing procurement activities, subcontractor sourcing, and supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of materials and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and hands-on experience in procurement within the UAE construction industry.

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for civil and steel construction projects.
• Identify, prequalify, and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers based on technical capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Conduct detailed technical and commercial evaluations of subcontractor and supplier offers.
• Prepare comparison sheets, recommendations, and procurement reports for management approval.
• Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve optimal commercial terms and conditions.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and planning teams to identify procurement requirements aligned with project schedules.
• Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure full compliance with company procurement policies, contractual obligations, and applicable industry regulations.
• Attend meetings with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders as required.
• Provide regular updates and reports on procurement status, risks, and cost savings initiatives.
