Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal and annual product planning strategies in line with the company’s retail and business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of product planners to ensure efficient execution of planning activities and adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with buying, merchandising, retail operations, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and assortment consistency across channels.
- Monitor sales performance, stock levels, and replenishment cycles to maximize sell-through and minimize excess inventory.
- Conduct market, trend, and competitor analysis to support product range planning and pricing strategies.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for product categories and provide regular business performance reports to management.
- Drive process improvement initiatives within the planning department to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and communication flow.
- Work closely with finance and logistics to forecast demand, plan budgets, and align purchasing schedules.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7-12 years of progressive experience in product planning, merchandising, or inventory management within a retail environment.
- Proven experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel; knowledge of retail planning tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
