Senior Project Engineer (Steel Fabrication & Erection) Estithmar Holding

Job Purpose

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing steel fabrication and erection projects to ensure timely delivery within budget and in compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements. The role supports the Project Manager in managing all operational aspects including engineering, construction, procurement, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budget.

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.

• Coordinate engineering, fabrication, and erection activities for structural steel works.

• Monitor progress and proactively address risks, delays, and technical challenges.

Site & Construction Management

• Supervise on-site activities including steel erection, installation, and assembly.

• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient execution.

• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Conduct regular site inspections and enforce quality and safety standards.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Lead coordination meetings and provide updates on project progress and milestones.

• Ensure clear communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Cost & Budget Control

• Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare forecasts.

• Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards.

• Assist in managing variations, claims, and change orders.

Contract & Documentation Management

• Prepare and review project documentation including:

  • Contracts

  • Technical submittals

  • Progress reports

  • Change orders

• Ensure proper record-keeping and compliance with contractual obligations.

Procurement & Resource Management

• Coordinate with procurement for timely sourcing of materials and equipment.

• Monitor material deliveries and ensure alignment with project schedules.

• Manage subcontractor performance and deliverables.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, international standards, and client requirements.

• Conduct inspections and quality checks to maintain high workmanship standards.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project execution.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company HSE policies.

• Promote a strong safety culture across project teams.

• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
