Senior Project Manager MEP RNA Resources Group Limited

The role will lead the design, coordination, and execution of all mechanical works in Infra, Office, WH & store design projects. (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Gas, and mechanical related systems) for projects in Dubai & GCC. Candidate requires a strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in both design management and site execution, ensuring compliance with UAE & GCC local codes & relevant international codes, project specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Design Management

• Review, manage, and approve mechanical design drawings, calculations, and specifications & prepare final scope for bidding. Also, should prepare the execution plan & be responsible for successful project delivery.

• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design & execution solutions

• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local authority requirements in GCC & relevant international codes

• Value engineering mechanical systems without compromising quality or performance.

• Lead design development from concept to IFC drawings

• Design mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

• Perform engineering calculations (stress analysis, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer) and simulations (FEA, CFD) to validate designs.

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.

• Conduct feasibility studies and material selection processes, optimizing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).

Execution & Project Management

• Plan, manage, and supervise site execution of mechanical works

• Ensure installation is as per approved drawings, method statements, and quality standards

• Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, and productivity

• Coordinate with procurement for timely material approvals and deliveries

• Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to safety and quality requirements

• Resolve site technical issues and provide engineering solutions

• Plan and oversee project implementation from conception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical, manufacturing, QA) to ensure seamless project execution and resolve issues.

• Support the procurement process by sourcing materials, evaluating vendors, and managing technical specifications for equipment purchase.

• Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, start-up, and commissioning phases on site.

• Conduct site inspections, monitor construction activities, and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, ASTM, local building codes).

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee testing, commissioning, and balancing of mechanical systems

• Ensure successful authority inspections and approvals

• Manage preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and project QA/QC procedures

• Conduct inspections, audits, and corrective actions

• Ensure work complies with contract requirements and UAE regulations

Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and mentor mechanical team, site engineers, and supervisors

• Coordinate with project managers, planning teams, and commercial teams

• Participate in progress meetings and report project status to management
