Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A Senior MEP Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They coordinate design, manage sub-contractors, control costs, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead all MEP aspects from planning, design review, and procurement through installation to testing, commissioning, and final handover.

  • Technical Coordination: Review technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements, while managing interdisciplinary coordination between MEP, civil, and architectural teams.

  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee MEP subcontractors and suppliers, managing RFIs, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

  • Site Supervision & Safety: Monitor on-site installation, ensuring high standards of health, safety (HSE), and quality are maintained.

  • Financial & Schedule Control: Monitor project budgets, manage variations, identify cost-saving initiatives, and track project schedules to avoid delays.

  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities to secure approvals and report on project progress.


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience: Proven experience (often 5–10+ years) in high-value construction, particularly in MEP contracting, high-rise, or commercial projects.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of building codes, local, and international standards (e.g., DCD, DM in Dubai).

  • Soft Skills: Proven leadership ability, strong communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
