Senior Purchasing Officer Cameroon (Bilingual: French & English)


Vision Servo, on behalf of a leading client in Cameroon, is hiring an experienced Senior Purchasing Officer to lead end-to-end procurement and supplier management. This role is based onsite in Cameroon and requires fluency in both French and English.


Key Responsibilities


Own the full procurement cycle: sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and PO management


Develop and implement category strategies and cost-reduction initiatives


Build, assess, and manage supplier performance (KPIs, SLAs, audits, risk & compliance)


Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Technical teams to align specs, quality, and delivery


Optimize inventory levels, lead times, and total cost of ownership (TCO)


Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable regulations


Prepare procurement dashboards, savings trackers, and executive reports



Requirements


7+ years of proven experience in purchasing/procurement (industrial, engineering, energy, FMCG, or related sectors)


Bilingual: Native-level French and strong English (written & spoken)


Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor development skills


Solid grasp of ERP/procurement systems and data-driven decision making


Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration


Willingness to relocate to Cameroon


Experience in Africa is a strong advantage
