Senior Python Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Python Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in ECU validation and IVI systems to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for automotive embedded software. The role focuses on test automation, system integration testing, and continuous testing across ECUs and in-vehicle infotainment platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation frameworks for ECU and IVI testing
• Automate functional, integration, regression, and system-level tests
• Execute and analyze tests for ECU communication, diagnostics, and flashing
• Validate IVI features such as UI behavior, media, connectivity, navigation, and system performance
• Work with automotive protocols:CAN, LIN, FlexRay, EthernetUDS, DoIP, SOME/IP
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Perform HIL / SIL / MIL testing when applicable
• Analyze logs, traces, and test results; report defects with clear reproduction steps
• Collaborate with embedded software, system, and DevOps teams
• Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution

Requirements

• Work with automotive protocols: CAN, LIN, Flex Ray, Ethernet UDS, Do IP, SOME/IP
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)Perform HIL / SIL / MIL testing when applicable
• Analyze logs, traces, and test results; report defects with clear reproduction steps
• Collaborate with embedded software, system, and DevOps teams
• Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution time
• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS)
• Knowledge of Robot Framework or other test frameworks
• Experience with REST APIs, TCP/IP, socket programming
• Exposure to JIRA, TestRail, Polarion
• Basic knowledge of C/C++
• Experience in nightly automation, release validation, and Reporting
