Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of QA experience with a strong background in automation. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and automation, as well as providing expert guidance and consultation on QA best practices. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely. Experience with Katalon Studio is highly preferable, as has a proven track record of building effective test cases and strategies.

Responsibilities and Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing products.

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Katalon studio automation tool.

Provide expert consultation on QA strategies, processes, and methodologies to internal teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure they are met with high-quality deliverables.

Perform manual testing, ensuring thorough coverage of all test scenarios.

Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

Continuously improve the QA process and advocate for best practices in testing and automation.

Mentor and guide junior QA consultant, providing technical leadership and support.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in QA and automation technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Over 5 to 8 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance.

Proven experience in automation testing using tools such as Katalon, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.

Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time and priorities effectively.

Minimum 2 years of automation testing experience with a strong background in software and mobile application testing.

Experience with Katalon Studio is highly desirable.

Advanced certification in software testing (e.g., Katalon expert certificate, ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer).
