Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Real time testing experience / projects delivered in Digital Banking solutions.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and localization testing for Digital Banking Mobile Applications.
  • Conduct API testing using Postman or equivalent tools. (For SIT testers)
  • Validate integrations with external systems via REST APIs (with/without middleware) (Postman).
  • Execute data migration testing using CRM utilities.
  • Design, create, and execute manual test cases covering positive and negative scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain test plans aligned with project requirements and goals.
  • Collaborate with all project stakeholders & Agile teams including developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Track, log, and manage defects using JIRA tool.
  • Uphold QA best practices and ensure compliance with process standards.
  • Share detailed test design, test execution including defect reports and dashboards with stakeholders.
  • Perform database testing with good exposure to data validation techniques.
  • Experience in retail Banking domain and testing of banking applications like eChannel, internet & mobile banking, cards application, payments, etc & support is expected. PFM and chatbot experience nice to have.
  • Exposure to automation testing tools (optional but beneficial).
  • To read all the documents and understand what needs to be tested.
  • Develop test cases and prioritize testing activities.
  • Defining the testing activities for subordinates testers or test engineers.
  • To check if the team has all the necessary resources to execute the testing activities.
  • To check if testing is going hand in hand with the software development in all phases.
  • Prepare the status report of testing activities.
  • Required Interactions with customers
  • Updating project manager regularly about the progress of testing activities.
  • Execute all the test case and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect.
  • Carry out regression testing every time when changes are made to the code to fix defects
  • He/she is responsible for conducting the testing, thereafter analyze the results and then submit his observations to the development team.
  • He/she may have to interact with the clients to better understand the product requirements or in case the design requires any kind of modifications.
  • Software Testers are often responsible for creating test-product documentation and also has to participate in testing related walk through.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Digital Banking solutions.
  • Proficiency in Manual Testing techniques and methodologies
  • Experience in testing banking applications, standards, or related tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Digital Banking and Mobile app testing especially in retail banking
  • API Testing using Postman (or similar).[ for technical testers]
  • Test Management, Defect tracking and management using JIRA or equivalent QA tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile processes and ceremonies.
  • Clear and complete understanding of the Agile, SDLC and STLC lifecycle
  • Candidates should be from BFSI background & Good Core banking domain Knowledge
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, good negotiation skills, proven skills in effectively dealing with the users.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Database/ SQL

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of Total Experience in banking or IT environment
  • Experience in Digital banking Solutions
  • Experience in App Testing and Web base testing
  • Experience in SIT/ UAT testing
  • Experience in test case requirement gathering & test case preparation
  • Experience in functional testing
  • Working knowledge in banking applications like core banking systems, card and payment systems applications etc. Personal Finance Management and Chatbot are nice to have experience.
  • Experience in Automation testing using Opensource tools such as Selenium (Optional)

Education-A university BE/B-TECH degree/B.SC IT or equivalent with specialization in IT.

Other preferences-Experience in banking environment in the Middle East preferred
