Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Implement and monitor the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with company and client requirements.
Conduct inspection and testing of mechanical works including piping, HVAC, firefighting systems, equipment installation, and structural components.
Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and quality procedures.
Ensure all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, drawings, and international standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, and NFPA.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance.
Conduct material inspections and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and vendor documentation.
Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Witness and document pressure tests, hydrotests, pneumatic tests, and equipment functional tests.
Maintain quality records including inspection reports, checklists, and test reports.
Support internal and external quality audits.
Liaise with client representatives and third-party inspectors during inspections and approvals.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
Minimum 8+ years of experience in QA/QC for Mechanical works in Oil & Gas / MEP projects.
Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, AWS).
Experience working with ADNOC or major Oil & Gas clients is preferred.
CSWIP / AWS / API certification is an added advantage.
Good understanding of welding, NDT, material inspection, and mechanical testing.
Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
