Purpose of Role/Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through the design and execution of comprehensive testing strategies. This role involves defining and maintaining QA standards, leading test planning and automation efforts, identifying and resolving defects, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with business requirements. The Senior QA also mentors junior testers and contributes to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools across projects.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to plan, develop, and execute detailed testing strategies, including the creation and maintenance of manual and automated test plans, cases, and scripts
• Review functional and technical requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability
• Perform different types of testing (functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance)
• Identify, document, and track software defects using the company s issue-tracking system, ensuring timely resolution
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Business analysts to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review sessions as part of the Agile process
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of QA frameworks, tools, and best practices
• Mentor and guide junior QA team members, providing technical and process support
• Ensure test coverage and traceability throughout the development lifecycle
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to QA processes and automation coverage
• Any other duties that are requested and relevant to the role
  
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or another related discipline
• 4+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing roles
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in preparing detailed test plans, test cases, and executing manual and automated tests
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar)
• Working knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent) and scripting languages
• Familiarity with API testing (e.g., Postman) and SQL for data validation
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and project managers
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level Certification, or equivalent
• Additional certifications in automation or performance testing are an asset
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken) - Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage
