Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Consolidate cost reports from site QS teams and prepare company-level financial dashboards.

Monitor project budgets vs. actual costs, highlighting risks and variances.

Support in preparing project cash flows and forecasts for management.

Manage head office level contracts with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Draft, review, and negotiate major subcontract agreements.

Review claims, variations, and extension-of-time (EOT) submissions from site teams.

Provide advice on FIDIC and other contract conditions.

Lead the preparation of complex claims and arbitration cases.

Coordinate with the legal department for dispute resolution.

Defend company interests in contractual negotiations with consultants/clients.

Supervise and guide Senior QS and QS Engineers at project sites.

Ensure standardization of cost and contract procedures across projects.

Support project managers with high-level commercial strategies.

Prepare monthly/quarterly commercial reports for executive management.

Provide cost-to-completion and profitability projections per project.

Present risk assessments and mitigation plans to the Contracts/Commercial Manager

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

6-8 years of proven experience in quantity surveying or cost engineering roles within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control methodologies.

Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Sound understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Experience in preparing and evaluating tender documents and bills of quantities.

Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment with cross-functional teams.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
