Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Responsibilities (Interior Fitout)
Tendering and Estimation
o Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
o Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including material, labor, and overheads.
o Develop and submit competitive tender packages.
o Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for accurate pricing.
Value Engineering
o Propose cost-effective alternatives to improve project value without compromising quality.
o Collaborate with the design and project teams to align cost estimations with client budgets.
Cost Planning
o Prepare preliminary cost plans and cash flow forecasts.
o Identify potential risks and provide cost-related advice during the design stage.
Contract Negotiation
o Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and suppliers.
o Ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.
Post-Contract Responsibilities (Interior Fitout)
Cost Control and Management
o Monitor project expenditures and ensure they align with approved budgets.
o Identify and address cost variances promptly.
o Maintain detailed cost reports and provide updates to stakeholders.
Valuations and Payments
o Conduct interim valuations and prepare payment applications for submission to the client Evaluate and certify subcontractor and supplier invoices.
o Prepare final accounts, ensuring all project costs are accounted for and agreed upon with the client
Risk Management
o Identify and mitigate financial risks during project execution.
o Ensure adherence to the contractual terms and safeguard company interests.
Documentation and Reporting
o Provide comprehensive project cost analysis reports to management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
A minimum of 5-10 years of UAE experience in quantity surveying and estimating,
Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, fostering strong professional relationships.
