Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.

  • Monitor and control project costs, cash flow, and profitability.

  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports, valuations, and financial statements.

  • Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.

  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity take-offs.

  • Measure and value work executed, variations, and change orders.

  • Certify subcontractor measurements and payments.

  • Administer contracts in accordance with contract terms and conditions (e.g., FIDIC).

  • Manage variations, claims, extensions of time (EOTs), and final accounts.

  • Support preparation and negotiation of claims and dispute resolutions.

  • Support procurement strategy and subcontractor selection.

  • Prepare and evaluate tender packages and commercial comparisons.

  • Manage subcontract agreements and commercial performance.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and cost control teams.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior quantity surveyors.

  • Participate in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.

  • Support audits and project close-out activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering projects, demonstrating progressive responsibility.

  • Professional certification such as RICS, CIOB, or equivalent, showcasing commitment to industry standards and ethics.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex financial scenarios and providing strategic insights.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving project goals.

  • A proactive approach to professional development, showing a willingness to learn and adapt to new methodologies and technologies.
