Join us and shape your story with Mott MacDonald, where everyone has the opportunity to be brilliant.Main Purpose Of The JobMott MacDonald is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to assist the construction supervision team on cost and commercial activities for a Building development and infrastructure project.Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:Prepare a bill of quantities reconciliation with respect to actual quantitiesPrepare monthly financial and costs reports including estimate reports and variance reports.Support the SQS to perform risk and value management on the project as well as cost controlMeasure progress of work and coordinate payments including interim payments to contractorsMeasure variations, quantities and costsPreparation of a monthly cash flow chartNegotiate and agree variations for both quantities and costsRegister and review all drawing issues for quantities and cost implicationsAttend regular site meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss variations and monthlyvaluationAssist the SQS in evaluating claims and preparation of change/variation ordersAttend meetings with client for all cost and commercial aspects during project.Role RequirementsBachelor s Degree in a Quantity Surveying Discipline from a recognized universityProfessional membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is essentialExtensive experience in construction related quantity surveying; Significant experience of working on large projects in UAE.Proven experience in closing out final accounts on large projects, claims and variationsKnowledge in evaluating site instructions and variation ordersExperience in assessing and evaluating contractor s claimsMust be able to demonstrate necessary skills to implement methods for dispute avoidance andresolutionMust have ability to utilize computer technology to analyse data, maintain records, analyse financialdata and generate reportsContinuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplishdeliverables across individuals, teams and projectsUsing leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective workingenvironmentsAble to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverseteamsFlexible workingAt Mott MacDonald, we support our staff to create work-life balance which works for them and welcome candidates looking for career flexibility.
