Senior Q uantity Surveyor

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Q uantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of standard estimating activities, re-measurement of work completed by the contractors (individual or as part of a team) on an assigned project/program.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Review, verify, and process interim and final payment applications from contractors, ensuring alignment with contract terms and project progress.

• Manage and regularly update essential cost management logs, including payment logs, variation logs, and claims logs, to ensure traceability and transparency.

• Prepare and/or review variation submissions and new rate proposals, assessing cost, scope, and time implications to ensure fair and accurate contract adjustments.

• Draft and review variation/change orders in line with contractual procedures and support the approval process through proper documentation and justifications.

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of cost plans, budgets, and forecasts. Monitor project expenditures and provide input to support financial control.

• Draft, review, and advise on contractual letters and communications to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and protect project and client interests.

• Collaborate with the team to assess and respond to contractor claims, including extension of time (EOT), disruption, and other commercial claims, ensuring robust defense or fair evaluation.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering/ Construction Management/ Quantity Surveying. (or other related field).

• Minimum 12 years of prime contract administration experience is required.

• Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

• Conversant with CESMM, FIDIC and other relevant standards.

• Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration. Ability to perform in a management capacity is also required.
