Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Lead the identification and assessment of new product concepts that address customer requirements and set the firm apart from its competitors.
• Approve and review safety and efficacy data developed by R&D Specialists, confirming that each ingredient is utilized within safe and effective parameters based on scientific and regulatory guidelines.
• Oversee the creation of comprehensive market analyses and ensure adherence to the specified template and methodological approach.
• Oversee the analysis of market product formulations, such as the determination of possibly hazardous ingredients.
• Review and comment on suggested ideas, formulation strategies, and development activities before the start of lab trials.
• Maintain all formulation trials properly documented in the Odoo system and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Follow-up laboratory trials carried out by R&D Specialists, facilitating adequate planning, conduct, and documentation of formulation and stability studies.
• Confirm that microbiological testing is conducted for preservative efficacy, and results are appropriately recorded and addressed.
• Approve and review trial production sheets with complete and accurate formulation details and procedures for manufacture.
• Conduct scale-up trials in collaboration with the production department, ensuring smooth transition from laboratory to industrial scale (1 3 trials).
• Approve and verify product specification sheets with critical quality parameters.
• Prepare detailed product information files covering ingredients, actives, uses, and methods of application.
• Ensure the compilation of regulatory composition files in compliance with the Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations for product registration.
• Lead initiatives for the Reformulation and optimization of current products to meet raw material availability or stability requirements.
• Facilitate ongoing learning and technical development in the team by supporting attendance at courses, webinars, and industry conferences.
• Ensure total compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies in all research and development (R&D) operations. Assure adequate application of GLP and in-house R&D procedures during the development of the product.
