Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct applied and interdisciplinary research in AI, VR, AR, and IoT aligned with SDG priorities.
Teach 2 3 courses per semester in the assigned area as per UoB policy.
Manage projects, secure funding, and publish findings.
Foster partnerships with industry and other academic institutions for research impact.
Contribute to academic committees and activities.
Mentor students and collaborate for excellence.
Supervise student research projects.
Participate in academic committees, student supervision, and mentoring.
Desired Candidate Profile
PhD in the field of Computer Sciences/ Information Technology/ Computer Engineering/ Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years Post PhD experience.
Track record of successful completion of Funded projects as PI.
Applicants must possess a patent in the relevant research field.
Minimum of 10 Scopus H-Index.
Demonstrated track record of publishing research findings in top-ranked journals.
Research Skills: Strong research capabilities.
Interdisciplinary Knowledge: A broad understanding of interdisciplinary concepts and frameworks relevant to programming, Machine learning and deep learning, Virtual reality development, augmented reality development, IoT, data analysis and visualization.
Project Management: Proficiency in project management, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and objective.
Awareness and application of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in research and innovation.
Strong analytical, communication, and academic writing skills.
