Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the rig electrical team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment on drilling rigs.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of rig electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of issues.
Coordinate with drilling, mechanical, and safety teams to support seamless rig operations and adherence to operational schedules.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with industry standards, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
Train, mentor, and evaluate junior electricians and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
Manage inventory and requisition of electrical spare parts and tools to ensure readiness for routine and emergency repairs.
Participate in safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations, contributing to a proactive safety culture.
Support the implementation of new technologies and upgrades to enhance rig electrical systems and operational efficiency.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and supervision on oil and gas drilling rigs.
Proven experience in leading and managing electrical teams in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Strong knowledge of rig electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, generators, motors, and control panels.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues under pressure.
Familiarity with industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices for electrical work in hazardous environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Proficiency in maintaining detailed maintenance and inspection records.
Ability to work on-site (onshore/offshore) for extended periods as required by operational needs.
