Job Description: Senior SAP ABAP Consultant SAP S/4HANA (Technical & Functional)

Job Purpose

To lead the design, development, and functional integration of SAP S/4HANA solutions by combining deep technical ABAP programming expertise with strong functional knowledge across core SAP modules. The role ensures seamless business process transformation, system optimization, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Technical (ABAP Development)

• Design, develop, and optimize ABAP programs, CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and RAP framework.
• Implement enhancements, custom reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, BAPIs, BADIs, and IDOCs.
• Ensure performance tuning, debugging, and code optimization for large-scale S/4HANA systems.
• Integrate ABAP developments with Fiori/UI5 applications and SAP BTP extensions.

Functional (S/4HANA Modules)

• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide functional support and customization in FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HR modules.
• Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and solution design workshops with business stakeholders.
• Support end-to-end testing, UAT, and deployment activities ensuring functional accuracy.

Leadership & Governance

• Act as a technical-functional lead in SAP implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.
• Mentor junior consultants and developers, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices.
• Prepare technical specifications, functional documentation, and governance reports.
• Ensure compliance with audit, security, and data governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong proficiency in ABAP, OO-ABAP, CDS, AMDP, OData, RAP, Fiori/UI5 integration.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration and greenfield/brownfield implementations.

• Functional Knowledge:
• Hands-on experience in FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR modules.
• Ability to perform functional configuration, testing, and business process alignment.

• Professional Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

• Education & Experience:
• Bachelors/Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8-12 years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in S/4HANA.
