Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Senior Service Engineer will provide technical know-how in the field of machinery in the food industry and provide guidance and support to the technical department and its customers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective, accurate, and professional communication with customers regarding inquiries, new projects, quotations, and advanced technical matters.
- Prepare and technically review quotation requests, sample requests, order details, and related documentation; coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and technically sound feedback.
- Review and validate supplier offer, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with customer requirements and project standards.
- Plan and coordinate service visits independently, ensuring proper preparation of tools, spare parts, and technical documentation.
- Lead installation and commissioning of new machines at customer premises and perform preventive maintenance inspections according to approved schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults, performing root cause analysis when required.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to junior technicians when needed.
- Deliver structured training sessions to customers on machine operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting; ensure proper documentation and submission of signed service reports.
- Provide management with regular and detailed reports including phone reports, visit plans, machine checklists, project updates, and meeting minutes.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Analyze technical sheets, machine performance data, and service reports to identify improvement opportunities and recurring issues.
- Propose practical improvements to enhance service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and machine reliability.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company standards.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned by direct manager or top management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in food processing or industrial machinery service and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems, electrical systems, and industrial machinery troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in machine installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Computer applications and MS Office.
