Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct daily transportation activities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery schedules.
- Monitor and manage the heavy-duty truck fleet, including maintenance schedules, vehicle availability, and optimal utilization.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Oversee loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper cargo securing and safety protocols are followed.
- Manage and mentor a team of dispatchers and truck drivers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Address performance issues, conduct disciplinary actions when necessary, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local, national transportation regulations, including road safety, hazardous materials, and environmental standards.
- Optimize routes and schedules to minimize fuel consumption and transit times while maximizing delivery capacity.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on fleet performance, safety incidents, and operational efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor degree from any discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience in fleet operations.
- At least 3 Years of experience leading a team and responsible for a project or site.
- Proven experience in a transportation or logistics management role, preferably with heavy-duty vehicles.
