Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Testing Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications.
  • Lead the automation testing strategy, implementing and maintaining robust automated test suites (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to define quality benchmarks and integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools, and work with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Perform risk-based testing, regression testing, and performance testing to ensure product stability.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level testers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement within the QA team.
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in manual and automated testing; hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium, JUnit/TestNG). Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured). Familiarity with SQL and databases.
  • Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Tools: Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla) and version control systems (Git).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Languages: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
