Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Acts as the nominated Postholder for Examinations Manager under CAR 147, ensuring examination and assessment processes comply with GCAA requirements.

Manages and administers the examination system for Basic (CAR 66) and Aircraft Type Training courses.

Supports the development of the annual training plan, ensuring that examination and assessment requirements are fully integrated and aligned with CAR 147 processes and CAR 66 standards.

Ensures all theoretical and practical examinations are conducted in full compliance with CAR 147 processes, CAR 66 examination standards, and AMC/GM.

Maintains strict control and confidentiality of question banks, answer keys, examination papers, and digital exam platforms.

Approves, controls and secure question banks, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, validated, and updated in line with syllabus changes and regulatory updates.

Monitor and ensures standardization of assessments, providing oversight of examiners, assessors, and invigilators.

Oversees practical assessors and assessments, ensuring examiner competence, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Ensures accurate and secure archiving of examination and assessment records in accordance with CAR 147 and CAR 66 requirements.

Liaises with the GCAA and other competent authorities during audits, surveillance activities, and approval processes for examinations.

Coordinates with instructors and the Training Manager to ensure exam content reflects course delivery and regulatory requirements.

Oversees examinations for continuation, recurrent, and other airworthiness training required under CAR 145, CAMO, CAR SMS CAR AIR OPS or other approvals held by flydubai.

Support in managing budget and cost center activities related to examinations and assessments.

Coordinates with the Compliance Monitoring department to identify gaps arising from audits, safety reports, and regulatory updates.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)Bachelor s degree Aeronautical Engineering, or related technical fieldFluent in English (other languages an advantage)Minimum 10 years experience in an aircraft maintenance and/or training environment. Knowledge in managing or coordinating examinations in a regulated aviation training setting. Familiarity with both theoretical and practical assessment techniques. Previous experience in CAR/PART 147 organization is an advantageExam management software, LMS platforms, and Microsoft Office SuiteYears with qualifications: 8 - 10 yearsHold or held an EASA/GCAA Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) B1 and/or B2 or equivalent. Examination Techniques / Train-the-Examiner Course, or Instructional Techniques / Train-the-Trainer Certification. Internal Auditor CAR 145 / CAR 147 is an advantage. SMS and Human Factors Awareness is an advantage. Holding a flydubai fleet aircraft type training is an advantage.
