Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Alignment
Analyzing business strategies and goals to ensure technical solutions directly support the organization's objectives, with a specific focus on regulatory implications for Digital Asset exchanges, DeFi protocols, real-time payment rails, and Capital Markets surveillance.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation through technology, particularly leveraging Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).
Conducting market research, developing business cases, and partnering with senior leadership for long-term strategic planning.
2. Requirements Gathering and Analysis (Updated Focus)
Conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and surveys with relevant business units (e.g., banking licensing, insurance, enforcement, compliance, etc.).
Understand core central banking, insurance, Capital Markets, Payments, Digital Lending, and Cryptocurrency/FinTech operations to contextualize requirements, especially those related to high-volume, cross-border, and decentralized data sources.
Translating high-level business objectives and needs into precise, functional, and non-functional requirements and system specifications (BRDs, FRSs).
Monitoring updates from financial regulatory bodies regarding compliance trends and updates, including requirements for crypto-asset licensing, market integrity, AML/KYC for digital wallets, and stablecoin regulation.
3. Solution Design and Evaluation (Updated Focus)
Collaborating with IT strategy & architecture, development, and data teams to design potential system solutions, especially for low-latency data acquisition and real-time analytics platforms that process diverse financial data.
Validating that reporting solutions meet central bank and insurance regulatory submission requirements (e.g., granular data mandated from Digital Asset exchanges, HFT trading systems, or instant payment gateways).
Working with data architects, data modellers, and data engineers to ensure solutions support enterprise-wide data management, particularly for non-traditional digital asset and blockchain data structures.
Support integration of SupTech tools with existing core banking, trading, insurance, and third-party FinTech/Crypto platforms.
Maintain traceability matrices to link requirements with supervisory mandates.
4. Stakeholder Management and Communication
Serving as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and other key stakeholders.
Facilitating effective communication by translating technical concepts for business users and vice-versa.
Managing stakeholder expectations and resolving conflicts.
Participating in financial services industry forums and working groups, particularly those focused on digital finance and asset tokenization.
5. Business Change Management & Quality Assurance
Assisting in business project planning, including defining scope, creating project timelines, and estimating resources.
Contributing to change management plans and coordinating quality assurance/user testing activities.
Developing user training materials and acting as a change agent.
6. Leadership & Technical Acumen
Mentoring and guiding junior business systems analysts.
Leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of banking and insurance operations, including Core Banking, Capital Markets trading/surveillance, Payments Infrastructure, Digital Lending systems, and the technical and regulatory structure of the Cryptocurrency and FinTech sectors.
- Deep proficiency in business analysis methodologies (elicitation, process modeling, gap analysis).
- Familiarity with SupTech initiatives, regulatory reporting tools, and enterprise data management frameworks, particularly as they apply to blockchain data and digital assets.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and process modeling tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business systems analysis or product management, preferably within banking, insurance, or related FinTech/RegTech sectors.
- Demonstrated vast experience in regulatory compliance projects, specifically dealing with high-volume, real-time transaction data from trading, payment systems, or digital asset exchanges.
- Proven track record in enterprise data initiatives and integration with complex and modern systems.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business units from Capital Markets, Payments, Digital Lending, and Digital Asset/FinTech platforms.
