Senior Specialist - Career Coaching Higher Colleges of Technology

Main Responsibilities :

• Maintain consistent and frequent communication with students and provide them with one-on-one counselling to assist them in their career exploration.
• Guide and advise HCT students on building resumes and cover letters, interviewing techniques, job application processes, interviewing techniques and job search techniques.
• Work with students to identify their skill gaps, gaps in their resumes and experience and support them in developing action plans to fill those gaps.
• Research and explain the current job market to job seekers and provide them with insights related to regional and global industry trends and labour market demands.
• Guide students to access the career resource library and attend the various events conducted by HCT s Student Careers function.
• Counsel students to support them in understanding and overcoming behavioural issues affecting their employment situations.
• Maintain a database of students functional and industry career interests and continuously track and communicate relevant opportunities with them.
• Monitor HCT students proactivity in job hunting and networking.
• Coordinate with Student Careers team and Central Services on career opportunities on a regular basis.br>
