Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to: Innovation Section Manager

Department: Innovation and Pioneering Department

Sector: Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector


Identify, prioritize, and manage innovation projects, initiatives, and activities with

internal and external stakeholders aligned with RTA strategic goals.

Manage innovation projects including feasibility analysis, pilot testing, and

performance measurement.

Establish methodologies and tools for managing and tracking innovation projects

across sectors.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful

implementation of innovative solutions.

Monitor and evaluate outcomes and benefits realization of innovation projects,

recommending scale-up or enhancement.

Conduct benchmarking, gap analysis, and reviews to assess RTA’s innovation

maturity.

Define and optimize roles, responsibilities, structures, and processes related to

innovation.

Enhance and maintain the RTA Innovation Maturity Model annually.

Participate in Dubai Government Excellence (DGE) award submissions focusing on

innovation criteria.

Develop KPI improvement plans, benchmarking studies, and impact assessments.

Prepare for DGE assessments, quality audits, and ISO certifications.

Follow up on audit findings and ensure corrective actions are closed.

Review innovation-related policies and processes for operational alignment.

Develop and implement annual innovation awareness and engagement plans.

Design and deliver innovation workshops, training programs, and campaigns.

Lead planning and execution of Innovation Month activities.

Develop communication materials and innovation success stories.

Monitor innovation culture impact on employee engagement.

Manage collaboration with startups for innovative solutions.

Identify and document intellectual property (IP) assets.

Manage RTA IP portfolio (patents, trademarks, copyrights).

Conduct IP awareness and training sessions.

Support employees on IP queries and infringement issues.

Collaborate with inventors and researchers on IP evaluation.

Assess new technologies and innovation potential.

Support patent drafting and filing.

Guide inventors through IP assessment processes.

Adhere strictly to RTA Information Security policies.

Perform any other related tasks assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Innovation Management, Business

Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field (IP/Law certification is an

advantage).

Experience:

o Bachelor’s + 8 years

o Master’s + 6 years
