Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary owner and point of contact for the ServiceNow platform across the organization.

  • Oversee ServiceNow configuration, customization, development, and integrations with other enterprise systems.

  • Manage platform upgrades, patches, migrations, and overall lifecycle to ensure stability, security, and performance.

  • Monitor platform KPIs, performance, compliance, and security posture; implement improvement plans where required.

Strategy, Governance & Best Practices

  • Establish, maintain, and enforce governance, development standards, and best practices for the ServiceNow platform.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to define roadmaps, priorities, and platform requirements.

  • Ensure strong alignment between business needs and technical solutions, translating requirements into actionable ServiceNow deliverables.

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of ServiceNow capabilities to inform solution design, process enhancements, and strategic decisions.

ITSM, CMDB & Process Optimization

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, etc.).

  • Manage and optimize CMDB data structures, relationships, data quality, and workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Engage with end-users to gather feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive solution enhancements.

  • Support Agile and DevOps initiatives through ServiceNow Agile, DevOps, and related modules.

Continuous Improvement & Change Enablement

  • Facilitate process improvement workshops using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

  • Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and drive a data-driven continuous improvement culture.

  • Promote digital literacy by delivering training, documentation, and user support initiatives.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Engagement

  • Lead and mentor a team of ServiceNow professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Work closely with IT, compliance, security, and business units to implement scalable, secure, and efficient enterprise tooling solutions.

  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies across ServiceNow initiatives and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile

(a) Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT Service Management / IT Service Delivery.

  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer, including design, development, and deployment across ITSM modules.

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow administrator, developer, and platform owner.

  • Deep understanding of ITSM processes, IT governance frameworks, operational risk management, and IT best practices.

  • Strong technical skills including scripting, workflow design, integrations, and platform customization.

  • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with local and global teams.

  • Strong business acumen with a proactive, practical mindset and ability to operate in fast-paced environments.

(b) Preferred Skills / Qualifications

  • Certifications in ServiceNow Administration, ITSM, ITIL, DevOps, Six Sigma, COBIT, or related fields.

  • Experience facilitating process optimization initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

  • Experience in implementing Agile/DevOps workflows within ServiceNow.
