Roles & Responsibilities

 OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:


Accountable for first line leadership and management of (specific discipline) team members to enable the work of self and team members and building their expertise and skills, and deliver frontline team results such as safety, production, maintenance, quality, cost and motivation.


 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:



Qualification:


1. High school certificate


2. Maths and Science preferred


3. Trade test / Formal Production qualification OR Diploma Engineering


4. Plus 2 years as Supervisor


Experience:


7 Years experience in relevant field of Artisan/Production

* Advanced knowledge of safety procedures (e.g. risk assessments, root cause analysis, deviation analysis, etc.)

* Proficient competence in work permit procedures

* Advanced workable knowledge of discipline specific machines, materials, methods, tools and equipment, including their designs, correct application and safe use

* Highly competent in troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions

* Advanced understanding of specific section's processes and procedures

* Advanced knowledge of applicable safety codes, regulations, rules and procedures

* Controlling operations of equipment and/or systems

* Advanced knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost, and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

* Sound knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models

* Full physical mobility, and ability to work in confined spaces and/or at hights

* Extensive experience of shutdowns and managing projects

* Competent interpreting regulations and codes; reading ISO drawings Mechanical/Electrical/Instruments Flow Diagrams and other technical drawings

* Advanced knowledge of statutory process compliance requirements, and understanding of the relevant regulatory and compliance issues specific to the Affiliate

* Familiar with materials, services, financial and other planning related work methods

* Proficient working knowledge of appropriate tools and systems to find, extract and analyse data and produce reports

* Effective verbal and writing communication skills (incl reporting)

* Coping with pressures and setbacks

* Effective decision-making skills

* Design thinking
