Senior Steel Structure Engineer

Lead the design and analysis of steel structures for a variety of construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for steel frameworks, connections, and assemblies.
• Coordinate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs.
• Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication plans, and erection procedures submitted by contractors and suppliers.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during the fabrication and installation phases to ensure quality and adherence to design intent.
• Perform structural assessments and evaluations of existing steel structures, recommending modifications or reinforcements as necessary.
• Utilize advanced structural analysis software and modeling tools to optimize designs for strength, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers, providing technical support and fostering professional development within the team.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in steel structure engineering, materials, and construction technologies.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel structure engineering or a related field.

• Proven track record in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of steel structures.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in steel structure engineering (e.g., AISC, Eurocode, BS).
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or Tekla Structures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing technical documentation and reports.
• Willingness to conduct site visits and inspections as required.
