Senior System Integration and Test Lead Engineer – ICSS Cyient Limited

Experienced Senior System Integration and Test Lead Engineer to lead integration, deployment, verification, validation, and testing activities for large-scale Integrated Control and Supervisory Systems (ICSS).

The role involves end-to-end responsibility for system integration across software, hardware, networking, virtualization, and field interfaces in mission-critical environments. The engineer will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage deployment and testing activities, and ensure successful delivery of integrated systems aligned with project requirements, quality standards, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system integration, installation, deployment verification, and field testing activities for integrated systems.

• Coordinate integration across software, hardware, communication, and operational subsystems.

• Plan and manage functional, integration, performance, and stress testing activities.

• Ensure test completeness, traceability, and compliance with project and customer requirements.

• Analyze system logs, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.

• Oversee deployment strategies across development, test, staging, and production environments.

• Support deployment and orchestration of containerized and virtualized infrastructures.

• Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, maintenance, operations, and project management teams.

• Ensure preparation of technical documents including integration procedures, test procedures, reports, and deployment documentation.

• Drive process improvement, technical governance, and knowledge sharing within the project teams.

• Support alignment between local execution teams and international development/design teams.

Required Technical Skills

System Integration & Testing

• Strong experience in integration and testing of complex distributed systems.

• Experience with end-to-end verification and validation activities.

• Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis capabilities.

• Experience managing requirement traceability and system validation.

Infrastructure & Platforms

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Podman.

• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware or equivalent platforms.

• Good knowledge of Linux administration and system configuration.

Networking & Communication

• Strong knowledge of network architectures and communication protocols including TCP/IP and UDP.

• Experience working with field devices, telecom systems, and integrated operational networks.

Programming & Tools

• Scripting and programming experience in Python, Bash, SQL, JavaScript, or similar technologies.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Zabbix, OpenSearch, or equivalent.

• Good knowledge of engineering and project tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and Excel.

Leadership & Coordination Skills

• Proven leadership experience in system integration and testing activities.

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional and international engineering teams.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Good planning and execution capabilities under schedule pressure.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support critical decision-making activities.
