Senior Technical Engineer - IT (Dot Net) - Ecommerce Fly Dubai

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads the architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using the .NET framework and .NET Core.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Leverages expertise in the airline domain, including systems like Passenger Service Systems (PSS), reservation, ancillary and auxiliary systems, ensuring technical solutions are compliant with IATA standards and tailored to airline-specific workflows.
• Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Designs and implements scalable, high-performance applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related technologies. Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Identifies opportunities for leveraging advanced .NET features, tools, and frameworks to enhance airline systems.
• Manages technical projects, including planning, execution, and risk management, to ensure on-time delivery.
• Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and product management.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Communicates technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations around project timelines and deliverables.
• Works on application modernization and cloud migration projects (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Manages B2B and B2C portal development, including customer onboarding, self-service functionalities, and integration with third-party & internal APIs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
• Degree should be in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Fluent in English
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in .NET development, including ASP.NET, .NET Core, and C#._x000D_
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles._x000D_
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms for deployment and monitoring of .NET applications._x000D_
• Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders, gather and analyze requirements, and provide tailored technical solutions._x000D_
• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business units.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus._x000D_
• Extensive experience working with airline systems like PSS, reservation systems, ancillary & auxiliary services and online check-in flow._x000D_
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g. Couchbase or similar)._x000D_
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing frameworks._x000D_
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes._x000D_
• Familiarity with airline-specific API, Data, System integrations, and Data contracts._x000D_
• Knowledge of well architecture framework and standards._x000D_
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Cloud Certifications from AWS/Azure/GCP
