Senior Technical Office Engineer (curtain wall-Glazing)

CURTAINS

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical office activities related to curtain wall and glazing systems, ensuring all engineering deliverables meet project specifications and timelines.
• Prepare and review detailed shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for curtain wall and glazing projects.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure seamless project execution and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Conduct structural and thermal analysis of curtain wall systems to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Liaise with consultants, architects, and clients to clarify technical requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
• Oversee the preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation for handover and closeout.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and schedule adherence.
• Support value engineering initiatives to optimize design, materials, and installation methods.
• Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and best practices in facade engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of facade systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design and analysis software.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and review technical drawings and documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Solid understanding of structural and thermal performance requirements for curtain wall systems.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with building codes and standards related to facade engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite as required and adapt to project needs.
