Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
SEO Specialists are responsible for planning, implementing and managing company's overall SEO strategy. They usually cover a wide variety of duties such as web marketing, web analytics, content strategy planning, link building, and keyword strategy.
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Specialist to join our company! As a SEO expert you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing our SEO strategy. As our online presence is extremely important for the success of business, your position will play a huge role in driving our business' growth and success.
Applicable technical knowledge or skills can include Google Analytics, Google Search Console, keyword research tools like RankMath, and coding utilizing PHP, CSS or HTML.
SEO Specialist duties and responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy
- Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization
- Regularly perform thorough keywords research
- Backlinks building
- Online Reputation Management
- Regular content creation
- On page and off page optimization
- Identify key SEO KPIs
- Social Media page management, comment and review management
- Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs
- Prepare and present reports regularly
- Identify our buyer persona to better target identified audiences
- Identify problems and deficiency and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Suggest improvements for process and productivity optimization
- Work with web developers and marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices
- SEO Specialist requirements and qualifications
- 2 years of experience as SEO Consultant or similar role
- 2 years of experience with planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy
- Proven success in SEO
- 2 years of experience web analytics, marketing, and business development
- Experience with A/B testing and other testing metrics
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Backlinks, Keyword, Meta Tag experience
- Some experience in sales is preferred
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on companys success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Degree in relevant quantitative fields.
- Understand Business Niche and Requirements
This core responsibility enables them to devise a solid SEO strategy that only uses white hat tactics to yield promising results. It is during this phase that the SEO Specialist describes their goals (that align with the strategic objectives) and sketch out a roadmap.
- Conduct Extensive Keyword Research
To shortlist promising keywords, the consultant looks at a bunch of different metrics, including:
Search Volume the total number of people searching for a specific keyword. If only a handful of people type in that keyword, theres no point in going after it.
Keyword Difficulty scored from 0 to 100, KD shows how difficult it is to rank for a given keyword based on its search volume, the quality and depth of existing content, and the reputation of websites currently ranking for it.
Domain Authority/Rating although not an official metric, it shows the potential of a website to rank for difficult keywords.
