Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the workshop's workflow by assigning jobs to technicians based on skill set, availability, and job complexity, optimizing efficiency.
- Greet customers warmly, actively listen to their service needs, and accurately document vehicle issues using a dedicated service software.
- Provide accurate estimates for service and repair work, ensuring transparency and obtaining customer approval before commencing additional tasks.
- Proactively communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles, providing updates on repair progress, delays, and any additional required work.
- Create detailed job cards, including accurate descriptions of work required, estimated costs, and timelines, ensuring clear communication with both technicians and customers.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on completed work, ensuring all repairs meet quality standards and customer expectations before vehicle handover.
- Manage customer complaints professionally and efficiently, resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Handle warranty claims and follow-up with manufacturers to ensure timely processing and reimbursement.
- Maintain a clean and organized service reception area, creating a positive first impression for customers.
- Upsell service and repair work appropriately, identifying opportunities to enhance vehicle performance and customer safety.

A strong Service Advisor/Job Controller candidate profile blends automotive expertise with exceptional customer service and organizational skills, needing to understand technical issues (diagnostics), communicate clearly with customers, coordinate effectively with technicians, manage job flow using software, and handle administrative tasks like estimates and updates, all while maintaining a customer-first attitude and often holding a valid driver's license.
